Congratulations to Evan Demelo, of New Bedford Ma., for winning the 2024 State junior Massachusetts pool championship, Boys 18u division. The Massachusetts State Junior Pool Championship is the second of 5 New England state championships hosted by the New England Junior American Champion Series (JACS).

In addition to his State Champion Title, Evan has won a paid entry into the prestigious American National BEF Championships to be held in Quincy Illinois this coming July.

The American National BEF Championships is sanctioned by the World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA) and it is from this event that the players are chosen for the American team to represent the United States at the World Junior Championships. The world championships pit the best junior players from approximately 30 countries to crown the best junior players in the world. In 2024 the worlds will take place in New Zealand. In past years we have gone to Austria, China, Russia, Cyprus, Puerto Rico etc.

Aiden is part of our New England training program. Congratulations also to Siyu Chen, of Harvard Ma., for his strong second place finish. Both boys played exceptionally well.
