Back Alley Billiards hosts the Oklahoma State Junior 8-Ball Championships

On April 30, Back Alley Billiards, in McAlester, OK, hosted the Oklahoma Junior State 8-Ball Championships. There were 4 kids who won their entry into the National Junior 9-Ball Championships, set to take place in Schaumburg, Illinois in mid-July.

Jonathan Fuller, of Ada, OK, won the boys 18 years & younger division. Fuller won the tournament without dropping a single match. Johnathan Portwood, of Moundville, MO, finished in 2nd place. Both Fuller and Portwood earned their entries into the National Junior Championships. Marvin Isbell, of McAlester, got 3rd in the tournament and Logan Tissychy, of Lawton, OK, got 4th place. Other kids participating in this division were Tallen Tissychy, Jerry Beatty, and Rafael Macias, all of Lawton, and Dax Shifflett and Braden Potter, of Tulsa.

18 & Under Boys Division

There were 2 competitors in the girls 18 years & younger division. Araia Heathcott, of Lawton, OK, went undefeated, winning 9 straight games off of Linda Eldridge, of Indianola. Heathcott also won her entry into the National Junior Championships.

18 & Under Girls Division

2nd Place Linda Eldridge Indianola, OK

There were 3 boys in the 14 years & younger division. Jeremy Gilliland, of Tulsa, went undefeated in his division and won his entry into the National Junior Championships. TJ Marshall, of McAlester, OK, finished in 2nd place and Jesse James, of Bartlesville, OK, finished in 3rd place.

14 & Under Boys Division
